I'm currently blogging using my new laptop. Fujitsu S6410U, paid $2250 in cash for it. (Heart pain!!!) Still in the midst of adapting to using a laptop. Also trying to figure the features and functions of Windows Vista and Microsoft office 2007.

I also currently do not have internet access at my grandmother's place so i ran over to my cousin's place to use WiFi. I do hope i can apply for internet soon so at least i can watch cruchyroll before i sleep. Been losing sleep these few days over "starting a new phase of life". We ppls in JC has been spoon-fed so much so that i feel confused with the freedom of choices. Still, after today's talk, i feel i'm not alone. The Profs are rather nice ppls.

I'm now more inclined to take Sociology as a major. The psychology talk scared me. Empirical methods of deriving data, statistics etc. Scary!!!

Okay, got to leave for dinner already

Went back to work at sony yesterday, just for a day. At first, after saying yes to the work option, i felt stupid. Travel 2 hrs to and 2 hrs back just to work for 8 hours. Crazy isn't it? Still, i went to work because of the promise i've made. Though i did not work under my previous boss and was not posted to the same department as before, i met up with my ex-colleagues and chatted quite a bit.
I made a new friend too. Haha.

All in all, i enjoyed the day's work. Tedious as it may be, it is a pleasure to return to where u feel familiar. Futhermore, we had the yummy vegetarian bee hoon for lunch. Something i miss so much.

I was reading this book. When i picked it up at the library, it seemed so innocent. But heh heh...lots of intimate scenes. That aside, there's a few funny quotes in the book which is funny yet logical. Some of the quotes are R rated if u get what i mean. And its kinda sexist since its from a woman's point of view. Sorry guys.

  • Men are like fine wine. They begin as grapes, and its up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
  • Don't expect a man with a hard-on to be able to think; he doesn't have enough blood to run both heads. (Get it??? Hahaha. I bet wanyi don't)
  • When everything's coming your way, u're in the wrong lane.
  • A conclusion is where you go when you get tired of thinking.
  • The right lover is like a good bra: supportive, close to the heart, and damned hard to find(i laughed hard at this one. Haha)
  • Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.

The few quotes that made me laugh like an idiot in the bus. The idiot wants to sleep now. Good night.

I had trouble sleeping last night. The whole night, the "three-bear" song from Full House was ringing incessantly in my head. In another part of my head, i was considering if i really dare to go bungee jumping in New Zealand. Just thinking about it already made my heart palpitate. So i only got to sleep at 5.30am when my bro was already preparing to go to sch. Woke up at 8.30am as i needed to go and remove my stitches at Alexandra Hospital.

So these are the places i went today.

Alexandra Hospital - Removed my stitches and talked to the funny dentist.
Ikea - Had meatballs. Yum=)
Vivocity - Had Chilli Cheese fries from SuperDogs. Rather ex.
Hougang Mall - Collected my shirt which i sent for altering and bought 2 shirts for my bro.

All by myself. Have i ever mention i kinda enjoy shopping alone? Haha. All in all, i bought 2 shirts for my bro. After almost 8 hrs of walking/travelling. But i'm a good sister okay.

My bro came back from sch. He wants to drop A-Maths. I strongly discouraged him last time but if he can't even get simultanous equations right, A-Maths is not his cup of tea. He wants to drop, daddy doesn't want him to drop. So a huge debate erupted - "No self-disipline" Vs "A-Maths not my forte". I wanted to faint on the spot and save myself from all the shouting. Aiya...i also dunno lah. He already paid for the exam then now want to drop.

Exams in 2 mths time. $100 per 1 1/2 hr tuition lesson. 1 mth pay $400 bucks. I also want to be a tuition teacher. *cash register ringing ka-ching"

Siao liao lah!!!

Went out with peiwen, elaine, audrey, jeannie, isabelle, boon jeow, samuel, natalie, wee keat and andrew. Had dinner at Kim Gary located in VivoCity. This outing was supposedly a farewell dinner for samuel who would be going for his attachment this sep. Why meet so early? Cos we are going to start school soon. Hah! Anyway, we took loads of photos.

Everyone present. At Kim Gary.
The 6 musketeers=) A photo together. Finally.
Jeannie's gone home. 6 musketeers minus 1.

The gals. In the james bond pose. Woo....suave.

The gals again. In da toilet.

The thousand-hand shadow.

Lets JUMP!!!
And finally, elaine, me and peiwen!!!

Had a great time. Mainly because i haven met them for AGES. Everyone's busy with their own stuff so a gathering is great. It reminds me of the sms that yahui sent last time. About going seperate ways and stuff. Hope there would be more gatherings.

Removed both my upper wisdom tooth yesterday. So i declare myself wisdom-tooth-free=) No more injections in the mouth, no more surgery. I'm happy and would be happier if the bleeding can stop and the wound stops hurting. Have been bleeding since after the op(around 4pm yesterday). Massive loss of blood. Haha.

The dentist that operated on me yesterday was very nice. He was talking to me about NUS throughout the operation. And since he knows that i'm terrified of injections, while doing the scary 6 shots, he was telling me that i should join the enginnering orientation camp because of the much tilted gender-ratio. Ratio of 4:1 while it is vice versa in FASS. Then he was telling me about staying in Eusoff and Temasek Hall. Says its really fun. Haha. i think he just graduated from NUS not long ago and he really loved the school.

Congrats to Yahui for making it into the top 20 of star search. I can't recognice her with the new hair-do. Was scanning the news for her face and finally confirmed that she is in top 20 thru mediacorp website. All the best!!

Just watched JJ's MV on youtube. Its rather freaky since i dun watch horror stuff at all. The "The Killa" MV i just watched is the censored version. Can't imagine how the full version is like. Don't think Singapore's MDA will allow the uncensored one to be broadcasted in Singapore. In fact, it's rather surprising that MDA allowed the censored one in at all. Still, considering the fact that JJ threw in all his emotions during the crying scene, the MV rocked!

Daddy's operation was successful=)
The whole operation was caught on tape. I mean the doctor actually passed us a dvd of the op. Like Ewwww. In the words of the doc, "its interesting, u should see it".

Anyway, spending more than half my day in Gleneagles made me itch for the laptop that i am soon going to get. Why can't the matric fair be sooner? Then i'll get the laptop sooner. Then i'll be able to spend time in Gleneagles watching Full House.

Anyway, i need help in some decision regarding laptops. I'm not very good in decision-making. So hear my desperate plea for help. Let a techical-pro hero save me from the maze of yummy-looking laptops. Hmm....not exactly yummy but u get my idea.

I think i'm going crazy. There's so many things to do and so much things to read for admission into a university. I already have an idea of the crazy planning i have to do the the 4 yrs in uni.

Fufilling MCs, taking depth and breadth courses, fufilling UE and SSM and GEM, declaring major, bidding, CORs.
Just look at all the acronyms and anyone will feel faint. Omg.

Is it just NUS or all universities? Is it just FASS or all faculties? YouthInk on Straits Times today had an article on uni students. Apparently, SMU students are most happy with their school and the way of teaching while NUS students are the most unhappy bunch.

I really hope i've made the right choice.
Perhaps this is the doubt in freshmens' minds during this period of time.
I dunno abt everyone else but i feel rather lost with so many things to do and understand yet no-one to guide us along.
I miss our dear civics teacher who will be there to guide us. We just have "page" her through the paging system in the staff room.
The difference between secondary education as compared to tertiary education. Haiz.
But......
in the words of BK, don't be childish and grow up!

Okay...enough rantings for one post. Back to scrolling thru the 23-page pdf document, by the lovely NUS.

PS: Shawn got into the top 10 of CSS 2=)

Korean dramas are all the same. Did Full House follow Goong or Goong copy Full House. In Full House there's Hye-won and in Goong, there's Hyo-rin. And y are all the guys so hateful in the beginning yet so sweet in some of their small actions.

I declare another addiction to korean dramas. This time its Full House.

I spend my days sleeping in my warm bed. I spend time shopping alone and i love it=), only complain is that i don't have people to tell me if something is nice or not. I spend time reading woderful books. I spend time watching shows on crunchyroll. I spend time pondering about changes. I spend time checking stuff up on the internet. I spend time doing things i'm not supposed to do.

I don't spend time clearing my room. I don't spend time making appointments with people since i'm too lazy. I don't spend time reading the newspapers. I don't spend time exercising. I don't spend time earning money. I don't spend time doing what i'm supposed to do.

I know its a random post. It sorta sums up my life though.

I have declared this dozens of times. I love my primary school. Kong Hwa School, a school supposed to be rather well-known yet no-one seems to know it. The school that wanyi thinks look like a temple. Anyway, I still feel proud to see Kong Hwa-ians on the national day song video "Will you be". Of course it is ironic that the school seen at the background is not that of Kong Hwa but the old Chung Cheng(Branch) which is located just beside the current Kong Hwa building. Damn. If they just show students standing on front of the grand building in their smart white uniform with red tie, it would be perfect. But i suppose they want an old-school flavour in the video, and the neighbour school sure look old-school enough.

I'm blogging because the sense of pride overwhelms me. Even though Kong Hwa-ians were just featured in a few scenes. I love Kong Hwa=) Feels a lil weird saying that, after graduating like 7 yrs ago. Oh man...I'm getting old. I really got to go back and visit Mrs Chin one day.

Came back from the chalet yesterday morning. 2 nights in the chalet. 1 night of sugar high movie marathon, another night of bbq-ing and mingling. 3 hours sleep on the first night, 2 hours on the second night. And it resulted in 14 hours of sleep on last night. Totally zonked out. It was nice to see the class once again. Most of the ppls turned up on the BBQ night. Thankfully. Mr Yeo was nice enough to bring his family with a carton of 30 cans of coke, Which ade lugged home in a taxi. Unfortunately the other teachers couldn't make it. It was a surprise to see Lay Xuan(my band senior in srs) while i was bbq-ing. Apparently, her family booked the chalet next to ours. So i said hi and borrowed lighter from her to start the bbq. How stupid of us not to bring any fire-starting equiptment.

Anyway, went to have lunch with Sam and her family yesterday afternoon. It was good food and good company. Finally an opportunity to meet them...after like ages. It was mahjong session at my place after that, a lil bit of dai dee and Go Fish games. I was the ultimate big loser yesterday=(

I think i need more sleep.
